McCoy Tyner - La Leyenda De La Hora

A wonderful record, and one I have only recently come across...quickly becoming one of my favorite McCoy Tyner albums...This is absolutely a transitional record, from McCoy's highly arranged string-supported records throughout the 70s into the Latin realm he would explore on and off for at least the next 20 years...Every musician is strong on this set, but perhaps none more so than frequent McCoy collaborator Bobby Hutcherson on vibes. He lays down some terrific solos throughout...What I especially like about this record today is that it is out of print, so I have no compunction about offering you up the whole thing here...download it and let me know what you think...if you really dig it I have a copy for sale on eBay...
